Stew:
- 2-4lb pot roast beef (mock loin, etc...)
- 1lb baby carrots
- bunch celery, chopped
- 8-10 red potatoes, cut into cubes
- 1 liter red wine (chianti works great)
- 1 diced onion
- minced shallot or garlic bulb

Sear the meat on all sides (olive oil in a skillet) with the onion and garlic and carrots. Cook everything on low for 10-12 hours in your crock pot (until the meat falls apart).

I love that you can make a stew without a single drop of water. :)

i have 4 different sauces in my fridge now. I'll rate them for you. * being the worst - ***** being the best

*** - Cattleman's Original - not bad for a typical store sauce. A little thicker and sweeter than I prefer though
*** - Sweet Baby Rays - Comparable to cattleman's, a little sweeter maybe
** - Razorback BBQ Sauce - amateur sauce, flavors are divided if that makes sense, kinda gritty tasting, good spices though
***** - Rendezvous BBQ Sauce - probably the best store bought sauce I've ever had. Thinner than most and spicy but not too much. This i assume is the sauce from the Memphis joint. got it at walmarts.

Gabie taught me to make spring rolls this weekend. I thought we might make like 8-10...no, we made 50. It's cool with me cause you can freeze em.

Brown about 3-4lbs of hamurger crumbling into very small peices, drain grease
Chop 1/2-3/4 head of cabbage in a food processor
Chop 1-2 small bags of shredded carrots in a food processor
crumble 1/4-1/4 block of tofu
In a large mixing bowl add soy sauce to make ingredients wet (1/4-1/2 cup probably)
Get about 50 wrappers, roll, closing with a little raw scrambled egg
fry at 375 until light golden brown
be careful to makle them tight with no tears or they'll go crazy in the fryer
