okay, so we had a strange night last night. Around 730 or so, an ambulance shows up a couple of houses down as well as a couple of cops. We left the house a little later to notice that the cop cars were still there, but the ambulance had left. There was a cop in the backyard of my nextdoor neighbors house and one walking around outside two houses down. We went on and stopped in at Eddie Haskells for a drink then went by WalMart before headed home. When we get back to the "hood" (apparently) the cops have their cars positioned with the lights on blocking off my street. It is blocked for about 100 yards on both ends...my house in within this 100 yard quarantine of course. I ask the cop whats going on. He said they had been called out to the house a couple of doors down from us for another reason, but while they were there, they found pipe bombs. They sectioned off the street and called the bomb squad. They told us we had to evacuate until they finished, but allowed us to get our dogs. It was 930 by now. Andrea had some homework to do so we went to Wages' house and hung out while she worked on that. While we were there, I put the dogs in the back yard, they were being pretty good, until about 1015 when they started going crazy with the barking. I went outside to yell at them and low and behold, there is a damn skunk in Wages back yard. What makes that weird is, he doesn't live in the forest, it is your typical subdivision backyard...I don't even think their is a tree back there. Anyway, now I really want to get the dogs away from the skunk before they get sprayed. I failed and got myself pretty stinky in the process. Now everything smells like skunk and i have to frantically give my dogs and myself a bath. That was an ordeal, but finally we get done. Wages lends me some clothes and I go to WalMart to get some Frebreeze and candles. When I get back, around 1130, I call to see if can go home...no luck. So we spent the night at Wageses.I still don't know any details of the pipe bomb story, I called the tv station to tell them I saw news happening, but I got an answering machine. I left a message but they either didn't get it or didn't care cause no one has anything on it. |

Sometimes I type commands into AutoCad, and avoid pulldowns at all costs. For instance, when I type "X" it will "EXPLODE" a drawing. What sucks is sometimes it forgets the commands, and you have to restart AutoCad. You type "X" and it will say "Unknown Command "X"". Well today a weird one happened. I typed in "X" to "EXPLODE" and it said "Unknown Command "EXPLODE". I call bullshit, cause I typed "X", not "EXPLODE". So how'd it know "X" meant "EXPLODE"? It forgot after it that? It reminds me of murder mysteries of when the detective tells a suspect some one was killed, and the suspect says, "I didn't shoot her." How did he know she was shot? |

You know how there's shit you see that you just have to look twice to make sure you actually saw what you think you saw? Like, I saw this dude that bought a couple of cans of Krylon leave and get into his van that said "Kerry's Auto Body and Paint". Or this lazy-ass bird I saw on my way to the office this morning... was walking across the sidewalk, then flew to across the street about 6 inches above the ground and landed on the opposite sidewalk, and started walking again. As if it couldn't be bothered to actually step down the curb onto the asphalt and walk like it was doing on the sidewalk.
