Summary Thehansofoundation.org was introduced in a commercial on 05/03/06 during the airing of Lost. The commercial, which can also be seen on their website displayed a phone number, UK(011-44-0800 66 66 40), US(1-800-HANSORG), AUS(1800 22 77 17), to call. See this post for the phone transcript and sound files. The Hanso Foundation, as the mission statement says, stands at the vanguard of social and scientific research for the advancement of the human race. For forty years, The Foundation has offered grants to worthy experiments seeking to promote world peace through improved health, prevention, vitality and longevity. The Hanso Foundation. Reaching out to a better tomorrow. Call the number and explore the site a bit. You'll learn a little bit more about this group, and may find some strange things through out. Puzzles/Mysteries - Unsolved PM4 - October 23, 2003 PM5 - Hanso?s Right Hand PM6 - Voice of Hanso PM7 - ERI Project PM8 - Cancer Cured PM9 - Hidden Facility (partially solved) Puzzles/Mysteries - Solved PM1 - Persephone Hack Spoiler Alert! By calling the number and pressing 1(General) we recieve a regular 'General' message, BUT after a few call backs you get static and a woman named Persephone. She offers the truth to all of the Hanso Foundations "lies". She provides you with a password. As you head to www.TheHansoFoundation.org you will notice a link to Newsletter (Sign Up). Clicking on this link leads to this. Figure out a screenname you would like to use and type it in. After clicking "Next", a strange thing happens. The site appears to be getting hacked. Someone then writes on the screen if you can read what is being 'written'. You type "Yes" and then send. Apparentally it's the woman from the phone message, Persephone. She asks for a password. This is when you provide her with "Breaking Strain" which you recieved from the phone message. She does her thing and gets you into the system. You have solved the first puzzle. From here on out, signing in will display this message. This is most likely the place to go daily for any updates to the game. Take note of the monkey flash at the end of this puzzle. Next stop, Joops corner. PM2 - Joop Chat Spoiler Alert! At the end of PMC1, there was a flash of Joop freaking out. Doing PMC1 unlocks PMC2. Head to Joops corner, and type anything. It will kick you to another screen. What is this mess? Well it seems a couple of circles have appeared. Click each circle, no order necessary. Hmm. More circles. Even more. Keep clicking till you see a red one. Animated. Clicking on the red circle reveals a letter. It's got a fog of war thing going so you have to move the light across the paper to read it, Here's a cap of it to save you the time and trouble. Hmm. Looks like someones upset with the dodgy Hanso Foundation. Clicking on the letter will reveal another. Another cap. Hmm. Something shut the GWC up. I wonder what Hanso is hiding. You'll notice the Peter Thompson's name is circled in red. Click it. What's all this? This is the version that showed up on the first day of the game. This is what's there now. Strange. PM3 - Hanso Knows Spoiler Alert! THF have updated their 'News' portion on their homepage. Seem they know of the hacker and are doing what they can to fix it. They provide a link to a press release. Cool. We know have Hugh McIntyres number and email to be used later if we have to. There is also a link hidden at the bottom of this page. You can?t see it, but select the text icon and highlight at the bottom. Copy it, then paste it in your address bar. http://persephone.thehansofoundation.org is the link. (((Note, this link is frequently updated, so a different message may appear than what I have written here if you are following through with it.))) The first message says 106 98 111 32 117 98 115 32 114 115 110 102 32 102 118 32 102 118 101 71 32 49 32 108 110 90 32 116 117 98 46 83 69 71 32 103 110 32 111 118 32 116 98 73. Run this through an ASCII translator and you get jbo ubs rsnf fv fveG 1 lnZ tub.SEG gn ov tbI. Looks like a bunch of gibberish? Well I'll save you some time and tell you that the deciphering tools you need is ROT13, ROT3, and a little reverse work. First ROT3 the vowels... code:AEIOUY Then ROT13 the consonants...OUYAEI code:ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ Then REVERSE the numbers...NOPQRSTUVWXYZABCDEFGHIJKLM code:0123456789 9876543210 As you can see, it's backwards. Flip it and you get...Log in at THF.org May 8 This is safe for now. Clues C1 - MISSING ORGANS C2 - MIRACLE MORE TO COME!!!! |
