The table sports dice pits, individual lighted player stations, a DM's station with a space for a computer, and a system of under-table tubes through which the DM can pass "message spheres" bearing s33kr1ts to individual player-stations.

The only way to keep them from running is to marry them, so it's kind of a double-edged sword.

Yeah, the original PoR (even as basic as it was) was hella more fun than You-be-soft's verison of the game. God, what a terrible fiasco that turned out to be. I don't know if you're all aware of it or not, but Kevin found a great little download for NWN1 at the bioware website. Here it is, in fact.

Anyhow, for all yous guys who have NWN, it might be fun if we could all meet up on a semi-regular basis and have a go.Smile

My dad played a lot of the D&D formatted games. Pools of Radiance was probably his favorite, although I'd have to ask. EOTB was more of a first person game. Each step was an equal square though, so you could map it with every step you took. I think that was my favorite thing to do was drawing the map. I'd have my graph paper with me. When I completed a floor, I'd redraw it and color it to make it all pretty and stuff. Man, talking about it, really makes me want to play it.

Aww, muchas gracias, Quade! Smile

Oh, and Pooh - Wasn't the Amiga a great little system? I remember playing scores of D&D games on it (though never EOTB). I did have a Dragonlance game based on the Chronicles books. You could only play one char at a time and if you were losing and felt like ending it all, you could have Raistlin break his staff and blow everything up.

But, one thing I will always remember about the Amiga is playing the original Pools of Radiance. I mean it was the standard SSI style D&D game and basically the same as all the others except when you camped (i.e. the rest menu) it played the most beautiful music. I have not heard it on any other system and have litereally spent years on and off looking to see if it was posted anywhere on the internet.

*Sigh* What a great thread!

This was mine, if computer games count. I played this for hours on the Amiga. My dad has plenty of other old school D&D stuff. Old Dragon magazines, old modules, old handbooks, etc. I bet you guys would be like kids in a candy store with all the crap my dad has. Maybe I'll go to his place some weekend and get some pics on here.
